I switched to igbt's because I got a good deal on them and they are 51A at 900v. (yes they seem to be running a bunch cooler than the mosfets I was trying. - like it is hard for me to tell if they are getting warm at 20a.) The inital mosfets I was using had a Rds that was way to high. You just couldn't get the heat away from them at anything above 10-15A. JohnK schooled me quite a few times on what the specs really mean :). Thanks again John!
I am very happy with the current design. (at least I have not destroyed it yet) The big servos we are going to use are pretty much 1:1 as far as amp vs current.
