Depending on how many signals you have you might not need any board at all, which at least simplifies the setup. You may be able to drive direct from the p-port. > 2. How well it will work I am not sure. You would need a small interface to convert PWM to analogue voltage but that is not especially difficult. I have a circuit diagram if it helps, I use a DC-DC convertor to create a floating voltage reference, an opto-isolator to protect the P-Port and a current reference to keep the output independent of P-Port voltage and opto-efficiency concerns. Total component cost is about $15, most of that being the DC-DC convertor which you might not need. (I needed it because my motor controller requires the control voltage to be applied between a pin in the PCB and the +100V field coil output, so needed a truly floating voltage source) For reference, it is one of these http://www.kbelectronics.com/data_sheets/kbic.pdf -- atp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
