The 30 day trial is full function everything for 30 days. It reverts to cad only after 30 days. When you purchase the product you enter a new access code and it you then have that product and it doesn't cancel out. Actually if you use it incessantly during the trail period it can time out early. However, they will supply a code that lets you continue. I had left mine running without realizing it and it timed out but they graciously let me continue the trial for a full 30 days.
