That's were the software could play a big role. There could be a laptop set up walk the customer through the selection process, then build an order, indicate if the part is on the self or send a g-code file to the machine to build it. The finished part could be laser engraved with the part number for pricing. Maybe a 3D scanner could be used to scan an item that the new part will mate with to determine thread pitch, size and type of connection. Although, an experienced sales person could probably do the same thing. -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
