Hello, Happy new year, to all ..
First, thanks for this nice peace of software. I am using EMC since 2 years. Now my old notebook is totally damaged and I purchased an new PC (AMD Phenom 945e, MSI 785'er Mainboard with onboard LPT- port) for my CNC plotter. Now I got some trouble to install EMC2 based on Ubuntu 8.04 Live CD. The EMC2 LiveCD did not startup! I tried some options (noapic, nolapic, ..), without any luck... So I have installed Ubuntu 9.10 and I found this HowTo: http://neo-technical.wikispaces.com/emc2-ubuntu. Now my question: Ubuntu 9.10 uses an newer kernel thendescribed in HowTo. So can I use the realtime kernel supplied in ubuntu repositories? -- Kind regaards Sebastian Reinhardt ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
