My past experience with the general quality of the staffing at the big  
hardware stores (that will remain nameless) - except for maybe  
McLendons :-) - the interface would have to be pretty brain dead.    
Then, behind the scenes the interface would hand off the pre packaged  
GCode modules to EMC.

A decent interface wouldn't be TOO difficult to write, and I think (as  
someone already said) the real challenge would be identifying exactly  
what the customer needs.   I think the 3D scanner could be a good  
possibility.

Automation is cool.. but it'll never replace an intelligent customer  
service person.
