I tried the 8.04 live cd, but due to my new Hardware an old kernel on Live-CD, the hardware is not supported and the Live-CD did not start up! Installation of lasted ubuntu version of 8.04 works, because this kernel is newer. But everytime I try to use the realtime kernel shipped in emc- repositories or I try to compile it by myself, respecting the given howto's from Linuxcnc, I get troubble! Until next Live-CD based on 10.??, I need any solution to get it work.
