Understood, all too well, Dave. >anyway...... Same with life insurance.... that's rigged also. If >you die, how can you collect? ;-) Only my widow. >My Dad is 79 and has type 2 also. His Grandmother lived to be 107, so >he thinks he is still middle age. >I'm not going to tell him otherwise. ;-) Obviously. My kids call and are now referring to me as the old fart. ;-) OTOH, I've referred to my self by that title for years, so its monkey see, monkey do I expect. But they do it with respect as they have seen me stand tall when I needed to over the years. >Keep moving, eat right. :-) That's difficult when I'm carving assembly code for a 28 year old machine, and its being difficult. My chair cushion here has dimples where each side of my pelvis sits that feel like they go down to bedrock. Time for a new one. For exercise lately, I've been shoveling snow, isn't everybody? A dozen blocks of ice on the front deck got pried loose yesterday, estimated at 30 lbs a shovel went over the side. Half an hour of that and I was feeling like it really was time to call it a day. Diet? Steer clear of the pasta's and taters, and take my metformin 2x a day, not much else I can do except lose some more weight. Down 35 pounds in the last 5 years, but still need to lose 20 more to get some resemblance of my 30 year old profile back. Unforch, its coming off my arms & legs faster than it is off the gut, and I seem to be stuck in the low 170's for the last 2 years. :( >The fact is that many of the machines I have worked on will outlive >me. Oh well. I guess that is what wills are for.. Amen bro, Amen. I gotta make one of then soon or my kids will be fighting over who gets what gun etc. ;) In fact, I just ordered a Howa 1500 barreled action with the 8 pound 22-250 SS tube screwed into it, and will set it down if I can do it semi-neat, into the thumb hole stock that rem 788 has been living in since 1969. Its 2nd barrel, a medium heavy Shilen, went south this past summer, and I don't really want to hand one of my guns to one of the kids with a note that its barrel is shot out. I'd druther hand them one that shoots well. I did pick up a 12 ga Stevens 67-E pump with accessory full choke this past weekend, so now there is a shotgun in the cabinet where only rifles have lived for 40 years. Sorta rounds out the choice, and of course its already got 3 in the tube in case I need to deter a prowler. ;-) I haven't had any probs, but someone tore up the back storm door of the next door neighbors place while she was in the shop getting a diverticulitis fixed last week. Her back yard is considerably more open than mine, so is approachable from a much wider angle. -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
