Jan,

If this machine is that critical perhaps you should retrofit a less 
critical machine first and build some in house expertise using EMC2?

I provide paid support for various machines that I have worked on in the 
US, however trying to provide machine specific support for a machine 
that is so remote from my location (USA) would be very difficult.

I recommend that you pursue a machine/control integrator who resides in 
South Africa who is familiar with EMC2.
