Currently I am using waterjet machine with old controls and parallely implementing EMC, which means that i have 2 files with servo settings - one for each controlling system. I load them as necessary, which means that all servo drives have identical settings, loaded from the appropriate file. Yes, there is such thing as "electrical gearing". I will examine them more closely, because currently I have 4096 steps per motor revolution (and using in 16x microstepping), which means that max motor RPM is pretty low, but otherwise i do not get correct movement (with these settings Y axis makes actual movement which is approximately equal to commanded distance). I tried exchanging drives between one of X motors and Y motor. Situation remained the same.
