I was thinking about something similar with my Anilam, it has no additional 
I/O, but I thought of a way to do it.  Write your program to cut a single 
tooth, then move X, Y, or Z far enough to hit an adjustable limit switch 
that is wired to the "Button" to cause an index.  There is probably a better 
way to do it in EMC using I/O but you wouldn't have to.  I have a regular 
dividing head and a few spare stepper motors, I was thinking about 
motorizing if I get my mill converted to EMC2 sometime, that way EMC2 will 
have control of the angular position.
