Thank you Jeff. I need to take time to study this. I have started to look at the encoder.c file and the encoder diagram. I suspect if I can figure out it works I'll be much further along. Unfortunately, I was getting into encoders in order to make progress on something else, which I also need to get up to speed on. One thing that comes to mind, the index resets the encoder counters only on homing linear axes and every 360 degrees on rotary axes or just for threading? -- Kirk Wallace http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ http://www.wallacecompany.com/E45/index.html California, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lotusphere 2011 Register now for Lotusphere 2011 and learn how to connect the dots, take your collaborative environment to the next level, and enter the era of Social Business. http://p.sf.net/sfu/lotusphere-d2d _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
