Thanks Peter. I know you, Jon, and others, have gone through this parallel port stuff ad nauseam, but for my application even SPP seems to have something to offer (set data reg on odd base periods, toggle strobe on even, to make data steam), so that is why I'm pursuing this. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm choosing to ignore really good advise.
