If you do a search for "Wet Stacking Diesel" and "Diesel Slobbering" I think 
you will find a lot to read.   Add the term Marine and it gets even more 
interesting.

I suspect you will just have to run the engine and see what happens.  If you 
are loading the engine even at low speed, you may not have any issues at all.
