I have a 10" touchscreen I got from short-circuit.com. They sell car pc parts
which I assume come from the same Chinese factories as everyone else's. I was
able to calibrate it in 10.04 after a few hours if googling and it works ok,
but 800x600 resolution borders on unusable in Axis and does not work in touchy,
at least it didn't work for me. As a primary UI it might work with additional
GUI tweaking, it's more real estate than many VMC screens have, but I certainly
wouldn't want much smaller.

For the tablet, if prices fall to around $200, it could make a great pendant
solution.
