Hi all, New to the list, I'm still trying to put my CNC mill together - After 3 years of doing a little every now and again, lack of electronics knowledge, buying kits to solder together, chaining old PC PSUs, blowing up a number of controller boards due to wrong voltage/current I've given up and spent some money.
I've now got a HY TB4DV-M 4 axis controller board, and a 32V 11A power supply. I wired it all up but when I'm using stepconf I can't get any of the stepper motors to move. I've done a bit more research and it looks like I have to send signals to the board to enable the X, Y and Z axes. I couldn't find these signals in stepconf to map to pins on my parallel port, I found a couple of references on CNCZone to EMC2 with xenable - something about editing a custom file in the configuration directory with "net xenable" The thread was quite old and was between guys who obviously understood the inner workings of EMC better than I did. So what I'm asking is, is it possible to edit the configuration in such a way that I can configure output pins to send a signal to enable the X/Y/Z axis? Cheers, KEv. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Forrester Wave Report - Recovery time is now measured in hours and minutes not days.
