I've been using the 4pin XLR style connector for some time, which has a nice cable seal, locks nicely and handles several amps without getting warm. http://medw.co.uk/storage/attachments/289/289/180NcmMotor_Assembly.jpg Last year I found an alternative to the 'standard' 4 core screened cable which is a lot more flexible.
