I have one of these in production. It works well and I can't complain about anything, it actually is very sturdy and accelerates/deccelerates smoothly. I haven't set it up with a modbus, I run it at full speed as default and then I adjust the RPM with a potentiometer at runtime.
At the same time, An extremely expensive Siemens VFD fired off the RCD...
