I understand the question. I don't know the answer, and without a
2-motor gantry with encoders, I can't experiment. I am not sure that
anybody has ever done it.

I assume that you have both joints set up with the same HOME_SEQUENCE
and with HOME_USE_INDEX = 1 for both sides?

Do the encoder indices match? ie, with both encoders at the index, is
the gantry square?

What behaviour do you see when you attempt to home?
