Heidenhain specifies LINECOUNT of 5000.
Encoder reads Quadrature pulses (unless set otherwise)
so a line count of 5000 x 4 quadrature edges per line = 20000 pulses
also you probably have the gear ratio backwards
so 20000 * 14/28 * 5 = 50,000
