If Gillette launched a lawsuit against Mach3 with vigor they would likely win. Too often the entity with the biggest legal fund wins. Backup software is a long ways from CNC machine control. Their audience is not the general public. Look at what the EMC.com corp sells. Unless you are fluent in computers, you would have no way of identifying what their products actually do. The EMC corp was stretching to make a connection between their products and the EMC2 software. I see it as a cheap-easy shot. I think the EMC corporation should be ashamed of their actions. But apparently any debate is over, so we might as well move on and get back to it! The software isn't changing, just the name.
