I have the code re-arranged to get rid of a subroutine call and to do a much courser cut till the last 10 thou, but I don't seem to be able to get it to do that final 2 or 3 passes. It does load quickly now, so just that is a huge plus. I have it running, motor power off, with some debug statements at the course to fine transition, so maybe I can get a clue from that when the course cuts fall thru.
