I think the main reason for this is non-normalized PID input and output values I like to suggest that for velocity mode drives, the DAC/PWM device be scaled directly in machine units per second so the the input and output of the PID loop are commensurate. This means FF1 will be ~1 and P,I,D numbers from various machines are in the same ballpark >In torque mode all bets are off. Just look at the values in the configs >for the Mazak. (torque mode). ;-) Those are probably extremes but.... Torque mode needs little FF1 and lots of D as effectively it must create the velocity part of the loop from D Best of luck. A utility to get a bode plot and then some guidance on how to use it would take a lot of the guess work out of this. I keep waiting.
