I find myself picturing a system with two non-coaxial rotary axes. One carrying the head, one the work. For extra fun the head carriage could pivot on a screw, so it simply needs to do a full-turn to draw the next layer. No linear axes, so bringing closer the idea of making all the parts printable. (though clearly a printer can't print a screw with the pitch the same as the layer thickness) -- atp If you can't fix it, you don't own it. http://www.ifixit.com/Manifesto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
