I find myself picturing a system with two non-coaxial rotary axes. One
carrying the head, one the work.
For extra fun the head carriage could pivot on a screw, so it simply
needs to do a full-turn to draw the next layer.
No linear axes, so bringing closer the idea of making all the parts
printable. (though clearly a printer can't print a screw with the
pitch the same as the layer thickness)
