Should be quite easy to tell, though. Does it have a HUGE flywheel in it? If not, it is almost certainly hydraulic. This thing probably does a full stroke, but the newer ones can limit the stroke, for bending flanges and louvers. That might not be too hard to put in on a retrofit, either.
