I got several of them when they were on eBay, and have been planning to
use them
with some Pacific Scientific motors and my PPMC system. These motors
came with
tachsyns, a relative of the resolver, but not designed for positioning
resolution.
So, I pulled those off, but have to turn the motor shafts down a little
to fit a
6-channel encoder. I just haven't gotten around to doing it, yet.
Then, the
commutation tracks of the encoder would be fed into digital I/O so the hal
bldc component would have an initial position to know the rotor alignment.
Then, bldc would send signals through two DAC channels to control the
7225 amps. Then bldc would use the encoder count after homing to
provide sinusoidal commutation for the motor.

Sorry I don't have working hal files for this, yet.
