That seems a little odd, I would actually anticipate undervoltage errors.

Are you just turning off the DC bus supply?

HAL cleverness might work to an extent, I think I recall seeing a pin
for clearing error messages.

I am messing about with the 8i20 drivers at the moment, so I can look
into this.
