You can either mask it or look at it as an EMI issue and see if you can trace
the source

Those error messages look like somehow turning off the power has generated 
enough EMI to generate a false character in the serial link. My first suspect 
would be arc/contact HF noise from the main contactor. A snubber across the 
contacts may help this

Stopping the sserial channel on estop should mask this
