I haven't stress tested this kernel too much, but I'm getting 4 uSec
out of the box, so it works great for me.  With numbers like 100uS, I
would suspect something pathological, like SMI or legacy USB, or both.
 It could also be video, Precise is pretty happy installing
proprietary video drivers. It is possible that there are some build
options that are a little off for this machine, but I can't imagine
what they would be to produce such large latencies.  I second Kent's
request for more info.
