Running the 10.04 vanilla liveCD from a usb flash drive on my system
results in latencies on the order of 6 uS with anything I can throw at
it.  Same system, this 32 bit rtai kernel hits 1300 uSec if I open 10
firefox tabs.  xenomai kernel is about 800uSec.

I have not managed to get the vesa drivers to load on these new
kernels, I'm still working on that.
