Delta Tau has had some big problems in recent years.
They used to be on the cutting edge of motion control, then it became
the bleeding edge.
I was involved in a very large Delta Tau project two years ago (20+
axes) and the guys doing the motion related code really regretted their
decision to use
Delta Tau. It was very unstable.

I have a customer who wants me to replace a 4 axis Delta Tau
motion/drive box on a machine since it self destructs about once per year.
The OEM no longer installs Delta Tau and wants huge bucks to retrofit
their 4 year old machine.
