Greetings,

I'm close to having my hardware setup and need to start studying LCNC.

Where should I start reading? What "branch", "thread", or "version"
should I look at to get up and running as simply as possible.

I'm running from a parallel port to a 4 axis set of controllers, but
only have 3 stepper motors to attach to my 3in1 metal working machine.

I understand Axis is the GUI for LCNC. Is it worth setting up during
the initial setup, or is it simpler to just use the command line?

I'm learning Linux, so I'm a novice there too, but the CL doesn't scare me.

Last question: What is the etiquette on this list for replies? Top,
bottom, or inserted under the relevant paragraph?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

The things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty,
understanding and feeling are the concomitants of failure in our system.
And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness,
egotism and self-interest are the traits of success. And while men
admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second.
