Some sort of a 1/16" wide, tapered from top to bottom tool steel sold as "cutoff" blade. I have 2 of them, bought from 2 different sources (LMS & Grizzly) about a year apart. Seem to be approximately equal. Much of my stock steel came from a recycling yard, the majority of the rod up to say 2" they carry is worn mine shafting. Exact alloy UNK, but I'd guess it starts with 4340 and gets uglier from there, rapidly. Its tough stuff all the way to the core. But for smaller stuff, hot or cold roll from TSC's bin, cuts easier, but that doesn't seem to help the rubber toolpost problem when doing a cut off. Thanks Gregg.
