I think it's absolutely certain they don't. Hence it rightly has a
reputation for being a closed shop and unfriendly.

Not surprising - it ceases to be a non guru thing then and disempowers

I think you're miles off there Stuart - many thousands of them at it and
all struggling to find some reliable and user friendly cnc control
software.

Problem is - there is no current reliable software for that either.
