No evidence, that's what I was told by someone who was helping me troubleshoot 
the original spindle inop in LinuxCNC but working in PnCConf test issue.

Again I have no explanation as to why I can control the spindle just fine - 
forward, reverse and any speed I set - in PnCConf but get no spindle movement 
at all in linuxCNC. Clearly this can't be a hardware issue since the fact that 
it works properly in the test proves the hardware is ok. The configuration is 
what was generated by PnCConf and it the spindle has never worked in linuxCNC 
with that configuration yet it's fine in the test.

Maybe things have changed recently, but as far as I know that "unexplained real 
time delay" message is a warning and doesn't disable anything.

What evidence do you have that the delay message is disabling the spindle?
