I agree. I would not use CL to redirect stepper signals. In fact there are a lot of things I would not use CL for. But it does work well for general machine logic, but I use a lot of PLC's so CL seems very familiar to me. Unfortunately CL does have a learning curve all its own which turns a lot of people off.
