Is it missing the optional Adobe PostScript 3.0 upgrade, OEM part number
411702? Dig through the menus on the printer to see, if it hasn't
Postscript installed you won't (shouldn't) see any menu options to
configure it.
If you send a Postscript job to a printer without the Postscript
language built in (or plugged in as an upgrade option) you'll get
gibberish out.
