I have a Fanuc spindle motor on the VMC I am retrofitting right now, and I intercepted the motor encoder cable, with an ENCY card from Mesa, the machine was open loop in regards to the spindle prior to this.
Would anyone know what the PPR might be on one of these, I didn't know if they used a common PPR encoder on these motors, or of maybe a way to figure out what it is? The motor is from 1984, it is a model 8, PN: A06B-1008-B 700#8000.
