Quick update.

I did try turning the balance on my west amp drive per C. Radek's
suggestion, but I will admit I'm chicken to turn it too far!! ughh... I
turned about 1/2 turn in both fwd and rev directions and didn't see any
change. Considering its a 20 turn pot, I suppose I should at least give it
1 turn either direction.

I did try some bias and that seemed to help a little. Oddly, I put in some
negative Bias of -.008 on X and Y because it moved the dither towards the
negative encoder mark and reduced the tendency to be off one encoder mark
for the desired position of 1.0000 (I suppose it doesn't matter). Pncconf
will not accept negative bias so I'm wondering if my negative bias did
anything at all, but it sure seemed like it did. Although, it didn't
error, but in pncconf, it doesn't show up as the entry text box for bias
only allows greater than or equal to 0 values.

I didn't try as much as I'd like because I had a garage door spring that
needed to be replaced and I wanted to get the GS2_vfd component working as
well as the lube-oiler hal commands I plagiarized from John Thornton's
Bridgeport setup (that was cool). In addition, I added the RPM meter for
the GS2 from the pyvcp help examples (which needs a little tweaking for me
I guess). But, getting the VFD going means I can try cutting something and
will fiddle around w/ it later this week.

Thanks for all the help, I'm close(r).

Mark
