Do you happen to know how if wear are a common problem for slideways and proper lubrication is important to avoid wear? I have table top engraver with nipples and real machine with some kind of centralized system. It is good to know what happen is lubrication is not good enough. Increased friction will increase current in servo motors so if this is common a meter for used current in servo motors would be good. I however increased wear is a problem lubrication must be checked manually at regular intervals.
