Hello to all. I would like to ask you if this is a viable construction to make with the MESA cards.
I'm going to use a normal Anything I/0 card (I would like to use the 6i24 but please check if this is correct) with several daughter cards and the list is the following: *6i24 Anything I/O card or 5i20 Anything I/O* (These two are much more alike but I would like to know wich is the benefit of having the 6i24 other than the PCI express port) *Daughter cards*: *1x 7i33 *for analog motion control and encoder reading *1x 7i44 *to reduce the amount of wiring to the control panel with the non critical inputs and outputs. (I have doubts about this one working with the *6i24 *or *5i24 *because in the manual it doesn't name these two as compartible but may be it's not updated) *1x 7i70 *for inputs connected to the *7i44* *1x 7i71 *for outputs connected to the *7i44* *1x 7i73 *for keyboard and pendant connected to the *7i44* Is this a correct approach? Do I need to have any other consideration besides the one I mentioned of not being sure about using the 6i24 or the 5i20? Needless to say that I'm going to run these boards with Hostmot2 on LinuxCNC but I like to be as clear as possible since these are a lot of bards to invest on. Please let me know what do you think about this approach and if there's anything I should add or change to make it work.
