Brain farts and other errors! I was trying to send the firmware via a parallel cable that wasn’t plugged into the cpu box. Fixed that! Then I realized that I originally bought 2 of the D525MW boards. I upgraded the bios on one of them, then my house was burglarized and guess which one got taken? So the second error was as Andy suspected related to an EPP problem. I got the bios upgraded and got the various loadf's and addf's sorted. So, now linuxcnc will fire up. However, I am getting occasional timeout errors. I seem to recall something about needing to pet the watchdog occasionally on the 7i43. Could this be biting me? I don’t have the limit switches, spindle encoder or steppers plugged into the box yet and I am getting occasional joint errors (probably related to the limit switch inputs not being pulled up or down??). However, I can’t get the “Axis” power switch to go “on” when I click it and I haven’t figured out whether I have the estop switch wired correctly to the 7i43 board via the 7i42TA. I can’t really tell whether the “power switch” problem is related to estop or some other kerfuffle.
