Even with all this Beaglebone discussion I've not closed the door on using a
PC motherboard and either the parallel port or an add on card for extra IO.
I mentioned that to my son and he dragged over a box that had one of these
loaded with 2GB RAM

up and it's somewhat disconcerting.

Back in 2005 one poster said this but it's also 12 years ago:
"Comments: Via chipsets on this mobo don't have real linux drivers. Sucks.
DOn't buy for linux. Totally unusable. Don't beleive me? Google it!"
