That is definitely a concern, and I can't give a definitive answer. Mine have lasted many years, but I am a hobbyist and sometimes my machines can stay off for as much as a week. However, keeping a backup of the config (or, optionally an image of the whole module) should mean that a failure is a quickly-recovered problem and I doubt that your G-code files will not exist anywhere else (or they can be backed-up) -- atp "A motorcycle is a bicycle with a pandemonium attachment and is designed for the especial use of mechanical geniuses, daredevils and lunatics." — George Fitch, Atlanta Constitution Newspaper, 1916 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list Emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
