Humm, TBH Marcus, that thought had not crossed my fading mind.

I was assuming that torquing the bolts down would be sufficient to hold
it wherever I adjusted it to since there will be 6 10mm bolts it it when
I am done.

OTOH, being able to loosen the bolts a bit, and letting a deadblow move
it would seem to be a long term advantage. If the scroll is worn, and
the run-out is diameter of workpiece related, I'd druther not have it
pinned. Whatever I do will I expect, outlast me.

My youngest would, I think, probably like to have it when I am gone, but
he'll have to figure out how to move it. As it sits now, it would take a
tall cargo van to move it as I've added an overhead frame to hold a 4'
4500 lumen led work lamp, and all the electronics is in a stacked pair
of boxes mounted to the back of the left post. The vfd is up there, as
is a 6x6x6 box with some SSR's in it so all its power is controlled by
the LCNC(axis gui) "motion enable" button. The garage door clears that
by about 4", hence the tall cargo van. He'll need a ton+ rated engine
crane, a skilsaw, and a couple 4x4's to put under it that are as long as
the van is wide, and a handfull of 1/2" x 4" lag bolts so it won't fall
over in the van on the way back to his place in NE. That worked well to
move it up here from central TN, a very long days drive, the last 2
hours pushing the speed limit a bit as I was trying to outrun the storm
that devastated central WV with severe flooding, did it too but I had a
good view of it in the rearview mirrors. But that van would not now be
tall enough by a foot or more.
