Got 40 pages of very small print. Also found google quit translating in the middle of the 40th page of 64.
But I am getting a liddle bit schmartder, I have the pot working again so I can at least manually slow it down. And it looks like I'm using too much P in my g3 statements. I should be digging deeper per revolution around the circle. Since I'm climb cutting, that increase will bend the tool inward, but if I go into the spoil board it still ought to be a big enough hole. I did find I'd measured the ac cord gland wrong though, and had to run a step drill a step bigger to make that fit. Couldn't sleep last night, and since this interface is equ to setting up a brand new machine from scratch, I copied the old configs to a new name, and changed how I drive the SSR's that soft start the spindle supply, so now I have to open that box and remove a couple charge buckets and wire the SSR triggers direct to the minus terminals, while feeding 12 vots to the + terminals. I have the signals getting to the 7i76 card now, so making that 12mm 5 pin socket and its lead cable and installing it is next. Counting up what I need, I may need to make provisions for more than 9 of those connectors by the time I get it all hooked back up and running. After I get the spindle running, the rest is it is just asshole and elbows to get the steppers, gearshift and homes hooked up. The spindle will take some trickery as I'll have to set up 2 pwmgens in parallel because this card interrupts the pwm of the first pwmgen in the 5i25 and makes a 0-10 volt analog voltage suitable for driving a VFD, but with Jons E's. (pico systems) pwm-servo amp driving the spindle, I'll need the raw pwm from the second generator to feed the pwm-servo amp, letting the first circuit control the on-off and direction.. I am hitting that motor, rated at a horse, hard enough to peak right at 2hp. Rated at 90 volts and 9.7 amps, I'm hitting it with 126 volts, current limited to 17 amps. So a 2250 rpm spindle now turns almost 3 grand wide open. It hasn't complained, yet... > I wish you the best of luck. > > Dave > Back at you Dave, take care.
