Greetings all; On of the things I just noticed, as I was wiring up the spindle coolant pump in hal, was that coolant-flood check box was not serving as a pump on tally, so I removed iocontrol.coolant-flood from any mention in the hal file. The output pin is being controlled so when I get a relay installed, the pump comes on 1/2 second after spinena, and goes back off 2 minutes after spindle shutdown.
But now axis has no coolant-flood checkbox, and this leads to how do I restore it AND use it as a tally, or better yet rename it to spindle-coolant in the axis gui. In otherwords since there is spare space in that axis panel, could I by some hal trickery, actually create a 3rd checkbox??? Or am I stuck useing the pyvcp facility for that? Since the REV tally isn't used as I can't run it backwards (at least not yet) I could modify that pyvcp.xml easy enough, but thats the wrong side of the screen. IOW, are there other keywords that when found in the hal, will trigger the creation of other control/tally checkboxes besides the coolant pair?
