Wiki page for a howto would be nice, or did I get stoned & missed it?

I've built a couple of those on the pi, but can't find an installer, so
I'm still stuck on Linux picnc 4.4.4-rt9-v7+ #7 SMP PREEMPT RT Mon Mar 7
14:53:11 UTC 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux

But I think I've finally found the keyboard problem. You cannot set the
keyboard repeat until x is running, and without that its running wide
open 300+ chars a second, drowning the pi in key repeats which because
its forced to throw the excess away, misses keyup's. If, immediately
after a reboot, the first thing I do is call up the kbd/mouse utility
and set the keyboard to about 16 cps, then everything is fine till the
next power bump. According to syslog, kbd makes at least 2 attempts to
set it, but can't find /dev/port, which doesn't exist, then or now.

40 Rogers on that!
