The real question is whether or not that will reduce my latency? External video cards (I have 3 different ones) make it worse from 26000 up to 70,000-100,000. Haven't yet tried that one Intel processor fix. The existing one with 2uS step pulses is more than adequate for stepper motors that normally have trouble above 20k steps per second anyway but my DC Servos with 1000 lines (250 line encoder) and 3200RPM max speed requires about 60K steps per second. On this PC MACH3 can do this with the 65,000Hz kernel.
