awesome andy just checked and the output is 12v
but I also saw that the input can be anywhere from 5-24 v and I think the output coresponds to the input voltage thanks so Peter if manual says I can run up to 13v do you think I will be fine? I saw mention of a 5v control voltage needed? where do I connect that up to? and if it is still going to not work I have other options I think that I can use possibly. I am not sure now if the vfd actually outputs the encoder pulses lol regards Andrew regards Andrew On Fri, Apr 16, 2021 at 1:10 AM andy pugh <bodge...@gmail.com> wrote: > On Thu, 15 Apr 2021 at 04:19, andrew beck <andrewbeck0...@gmail.com> > wrote: > > > looking for info on how to wire up a mesa ency encoder card to my vfd. > > Using arcane knowledge (ie, how Mesa manuals are named, and how to > google for them) I found the manual. > > http://freeby.mesanet.com/encyman.pdf > > That gives an absolute maximum input voltage of 13V.
